Josef Mengele’s Nazi Medical Experiments
Josef Mengele was one of the most notorious war criminals of World War II, and all of his infamy comes from the sheer number of cruel experiments he conducted on concentration camp prisoners.
He was known for purposefully infecting prisoners, only to watch them die. When he wasn’t doing that, he was exposing them to extreme temperatures, high pressures, and forcing them to drink salt water until they died.
A lot of his work went into discovering new sterilization procedures, developing chemical warfare tools, and examining disease. He often experimented on twins in order to see the full effects of his evil work.
The experiments didn’t always make sense. Sometimes, he’s remove limbs from one prisoner, only to sew them onto another. Other times, he’s just make them fight each other for little reason.
Almost all of his experiment subjects died. It’s impossible to figure out which of his experiments was the worst. As a result, we’re just going to have to put them all under one entry on this list.
