Mind control experiments were popular in the CIA during the 1960s, and this was one of the more alarming ones. A doctor by the name of Jose Delgado of Yale created a brain implant controlled by radio frequency capable of sending stimulating shocks to your brain.
That doesn’t sound horrifying yet, until you realize that these shocks were capable of controlling your mind and actions. The Stimoceiver was able to stop a charging bull mid-track. In a human study, it made a woman feel aroused. Think what else it could do. Terrifying, isn’t it?
The Stimoceiver experiment also had foul side effects. One woman lost much of her motor function and brain function after its implantation. She even started to develop ulcers as a result of using it!
