468 lb. White Sturgeon

According to Curly’s Bait and Tackles facebook page, “Joey Pallotta III battled this 468 lb., 9 ft, 6″ White Sturgeon for 7+ hours! Still the largest freshwater rod and reel catch in North America. (Benicia, CA.)” Joey was 21 at the time and shocked the world! His catch was such a big deal, he ended up getting it mounted and donated it to a museum!
