Black Knight Satellite
No, this isn’t a movie prop floating on a backdrop. This is a legitimate photo taken from space of an unknown item currently circling our planet’s atmosphere. First photographed in 1960, this strange craft-like structure is only known as the Black Knight Satellite.
Since its discovery, the Black Knight Satellite has sparked hundreds of rumors. No one really knows what it is, what’s inside of it, where it’s from, or what its purpose was. If you listen to conspiracy theories, it’s believed to be 13,000 years old and may be to blame for alien contact in the earlier 20th century.
According to Vice, the Black Knight’s existence has been debunked by NASA. That being said, it doesn’t explain why people in space continue to photograph it to this very day.
