Most of the moments captured by photos on this list took place years ago, but not this one. In recent years, news reports around the world began to hear stories of mysterious black rings appearing above large fields. Multiple photos of the rings exist, all of which have remain unexplained.
Though some rings could potentially be explained through fireworks testing, officials claim they’ve never seen anything like this. No one knows why they appeared, how they appeared, or what makes the smoke around them so dark.
