Because of their large social groups, baboons are loud!! While the image of rowdy groups of teens causing havoc in the streets is mostly a stereotype, the perception of the loud teen is rooted in real life. Loud music, for example, has been scientifically shown to stimulate parts of the teen brain that release endorphins, making them happier. Larger social groups also mean talking over each to be heard in public, which when combined with the inexperience of how to really have consideration for those around you, means that teens are regularly considered obnoxious and loud.
