Yes, you read that correctly. Children’s books about the beloved family of bears have been around for nearly 60 years – and was turned into a TV series in the 80’s. Many of us grew up watching them, and yet we’ve been spelling their name wrong the entire time.
Most of us thought of them as the Berenstein bears until the golden age of social media – when the BerenSTAIN Bears launched an official Twitter account and left everybody shook. People even started posting photos of old dolls, VHS tapes, and books to prove that they’ve ALWAYS been the Bereinstain Bears, not Berenstein. And yet thousands (or even millions) thought differently. Who knew one letter could ruin so many childhoods?
