Millennials all over the world believe that there was a 90’s movie called Shazaam, starring comedian Sinbad as a totally hip genie. The problem is, this movie never existed. Ever.
Don’t get us wrong, there were plenty of genies in the 90s’ – from Robin Williams’s iconic Aladdin character to Shaquille O’Neal playing a genie in the absolutely terrible movie Kazaam. Maybe people are simply confusing him with Shaq? Or maybe it’s the Mandela Effect in full force.
College Humor and Sinbad even poked fun at this fake genie movie in a 2017 video.
